This spiritual sanctuary invites you to practice the healing primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, guided by inspiring Ashtanga Yoga Teacher and practitioner Tara Ubachs (46) who is strongly connected with her Indian roots.
Amidst the mystical hills of Umbria sits a tastefully restored ecological 14th century monastery where you will also experience the calming effects of learning how to breathe again through pranayama techniques; a true stress reliever. Deepen the practice of your favourite asanas and improve your alignment with the yin & yang asana workshops.
Both Beginner yogi’s and those who have already established a regular yoga practice are welcome to practice, connect with like-minded souls and be spoiled by the luxury of simplicity of this breath taking location.
This is a small scale retreat with only 8-12 guests, with ample personal attention.
Tara is a passionate Dutch Ashtanga Yoga teacher (500 RYT) and practitioner. She feels a deep connection with her Indian roots. Being brought up with many yoga and Ayurvedic traditions like mantra chanting, pooja’s, yoga philosophy, massages and kriya’s, she started her asana practice relatively late in life at age 40. When her life as an entrepreneur in the educational field led her through several burn-outs, she was determined to change her lifestyle and follow her yoga passion. She left her husband and teenage son for 3 months to study yoga and asana adjustment techniques with Yogi Kamal Singh in Rishikesh India. Tara’s teaching style is characterised by her ability to gently push you to the next level, both physically and mentally. She strongly believes in the mantra ‘practice what you preach’ and therefore practices daily Mysore style Ashtanga with international KPJAYI authorised Ashtanga teachers.

6:00-7:30 Mysore style practice (optional)
7:30-8:00 Pranayama breathing class
8:00-9:30 Ashtanga Vinyasa practice
11:00-13:00 free time /spa/ massages
14:00-17:30 free time /spa/massages
17:30-19:30 yin & yang style asana workshops to improve and deepen your yoga practice
20:00 4 course dinner while observing silence
