Living Eremito
Eremito is a contemporary hermitage dedicated to silence, simplicity and digital detox, nestled in the nature of the UNESCO Monte Peglia Biosphere Reserve.
In a world that keeps accelerating,
there is a place where time slows down
Nature & Solitude
Eremito lies at the heart of the UNESCO Monte Peglia Biosphere Reserve.
Forests, trails and rolling hills surround the hermitage, creating a natural space of stillness and shelter.
Here nature is not a backdrop, it is part of the life of the hermitage.
Every walk becomes a moment of contemplation and breath.
The natural isolation creates a distance from the rhythm of the outside world.
Silence
Silence is not the absence of sound. It is a space to return to listening.
At Eremito, silence accompanies the day naturally, in the refectory during dinner, in moments of quiet recollection, on walks through the woods.
An invitation to slow down and rediscover your own inner rhythm.
As the hours pass, silence becomes a presence, part of the very life of the hermitage.
The Rhythm of the Hermitage
There are no fixed schedules.
Each guest is free to simply follow the rhythm of the hermitage.
Days at Eremito unfold at a natural and elemental pace.
The morning begins with the light entering through the windows of the hermitage.
The day flows between reading, walking, moments of silence and contemplation.
In the evening, the refectory is illuminated for dinner in silence, accompanied by Gregorian chant.
Digital Detox
At Eremito, the most important connection is the one with yourself. This is why, since our very first intuition in 2009, we have envisioned the common spaces as places free from phones and digital devices: a pioneering choice in the world of hospitality, long ahead of its time, that today defines who we are.
Leaving your phone in your Celluzza becomes a simple gesture that opens space for reading, listening, nature, and authentic encounters. This distance from constant connection allows you to rediscover a simpler, more natural rhythm.
A Day at Eremito
Every day at Eremito follows a simple and natural rhythm.
The activities offered are always optional, accompanying the life of the hermitage while leaving space for silence and personal time.
Morning
The day begins with the Awakening of the Soul, a brief moment of shared readings.
This is followed by the Awakening of the Body, a gentle yoga practice open to all.
The refectory then welcomes guests for breakfast.
The morning continues slowly, with reading, walks along the forest trails, or simply time to rest in silence.
Afternoon
After lunch, the day continues with moments of quiet and personal time.
You may walk through the woods surrounding the hermitage, rest in the relaxation area, or join the brief meditation and reading sessions in the chapel.
Evening
As the light changes, the hermitage gathers.
Guests come together in the refectory for dinner in silence, accompanied by the harmonies of Gregorian chant.
After dinner, the day closes simply, gathered around the fireplace, in an atmosphere of stillness and quiet recollection.
In this simple rhythm, many guests discover something rare: time regains its space.
Gregorian Chant
Throughout the day and evening, the hermitage is accompanied by the ancient harmonies of Gregorian chant.
An elemental and timeless music that creates an atmosphere of recollection and accompanies the dinner in silence.
An ancient sound that moves through the life of the hermitage.
The chants accompany the rhythm of the day without breaking the silence of the place.
Eremito Is Not for Everyone
Eremito is designed for those who seek a genuine pause of silence and simplicity.

What you will find:

For many it is a pause.
For some it becomes a return.
This is why those who choose Eremito often come back.
Travelling Alone
Eremito is conceived above all for those who choose to travel alone.
A place where solitude is not isolation, but a space to rediscover oneself.
Many guests arrive alone. Many leave with the feeling of having found something essential.
For many, the solo journey becomes an opportunity to rediscover time and the ability to truly listen.
Eremito is a place to rediscover your own rhythm
